West Shore Aware will fund a portion of the project as the budget for the 4 day PRIDE event is $85,000. We have made a concerted effort to raise sufficient funds to offset the production costs, to provide events that are free or nominal cost to attend, thus not excluding anyone, based on their financial status. All are welcome! We have received significant sponsorship donations from organizations such as Saugatuck Douglas Convention and Visitors Bureau, Douglas Downtown Development Authority, Biggby Coffee, Huntington Bank, Century 21 Affiliated, Beachway Resort, Bayside Inn to name a few and also various retail businesses and numerous philanthropic individuals. Percentages: Tourism/DDA Organizations 25%, Businesses 35% Private donations 40%. We are still fundraising and appreciate all amounts. If Aware does not fund in advance of the 2023 PRIDE event then we will use the Aware funds for our Oktoberfest 2023 and any carryover will be applied to the 2024 PRIDE events.
