The Center for the Arts mission is to enrich our community through the arts. The South Haven Center for the Arts is currently finalizing a draft of a new strategic plan that will outline how we will focus on growing our visual arts programming to children and families. In the past year we have expanded programming by offering new opportunities free of cost for families and children to explore art materials and mediums, find the calm to create, and explore their own artistic process. Examples of this programming includes an open studio for artists ages 8-12 as well as art making stations that accompany every exhibition and which are free and open to the public during exhibitions. In the next fiscal year we will continue to add to our programming with more classes, collaborations, and invitations to create. Additionally, the education committee of the South Haven Center for the Arts would like to focus on adding more culturally diverse programming, including culturally diverse arts including Mexican and Ecuadorian arts, reflecting the heritage of our committee and community members. Our outreach program to schools and youth organizations, family programming and children's classes are at the core of our mission and this funding will allow us to serve more children in the South Haven area through growth of our programs.

3. Funding Justification (maximum 40 points, please limit to 1 page)
